Premier wrap insulation is an alternative insulation for premier mix and is great for installations with offsets!  It is an 8 lb. density ceramic blanket with a 3 mil foil backing.  It is available in 1/4" thickness which acheives a 1" clearance to combustibles and a 1/2" thickness providings a zero clearance requirement.  Both are offered in 24", 20", 36" and 48" width by 25 foot long rolls.  Please see the chart below to assist you in ordering the correct width blanket for the corresponding diameter liner.

One thing to keep in mind is that each roll is 25 feet long, so if your liner exceeds this length please order accordingly.  Premier wrap is also available in a non-foil faced blanket that is 1" thick x 24" wide.  This is not UL listed for use as an insulating blanket, however it is often used in many non-lining applications and is great to have on hand!

Premier mix insulation is a UL listed (to 1777), ready mix vermiculite based masonry material containing no asbestos.  It helps keep heat in and allows the flue to stay warmer causing less creosote build up and less condensation in gas and oil applications.

1. Multiply the inside dimensions of the chimney flue
   (ie. 13" X 13")
2. Subtract the area of the liner to be installed in square inches (Use this chart)
3. Multiply that number by the height of the chimney in feet
4. Divide by the "magic number" 216

This equals the number of bags of premier mix you will need.
